In the Rider-Waite deck’s Six of Wands, a figure wearing a laurel wreath rides past on a white horse. Another wreath hangs from the tip of the staff in hand, and people carrying staffs walk alongside, welcoming the procession. The laurel has marked victory since antiquity, and the white horse stands for the conviction that moves forward without fear. What matters is that this victory does not belong to one person alone.
